Built Different.

Rob Phillips joins Howard Hanna Real Estate Services after a diverse and accomplished career spanning Ohio, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. Rob holds a Master’s degree from Ohio University in Secondary Science Education, with a specialization in Talented and Gifted Education, bringing a strategic, detail-oriented approach to helping buyers and sellers navigate the Lowcountry market.

Rob moved to the Lowcountry in 2011 as an Executive Recruiter in the medical device industry, ultimately serving as Vice President of Engineering Search. Prior to his recruiting career, he spent 23 years as a collegiate basketball and softball coach at Waynesburg and Urbana Universities, leading his programs to over 500 wins and multiple national championship appearances. His decades of high-level coaching and executive search honed sharp negotiation skills, clear communication, and a client-first mindset—qualities that transition seamlessly into real estate sales and client representation.

Driven by a long-standing passion for real estate, Rob chose to align his practice with Howard Hanna, a brand he knew and respected from his time in the Midwest. After meeting with Scott Griffith, Branch Leader of the Bluffton office, Rob found the ideal home for his real estate business in a firm whose core values of honesty, integrity, and exceptional service align perfectly with his own.

On a personal note, Rob is the proud father of Allison (35, of Jupiter, FL) and Van (26, of Bluffton), and is blessed with two grandchildren.
